15 Boys AFL trials... second chance
We had 9 players at the Boys 15’s AFL trial. I am happy for students at your school who are currently playing AFL to nominate so I can take a full squad of 23 or a complete team of 18.
As I know all schools have advertised the District Trial,
I will give students until this Friday to nominate directly to me by emailing, calling, or dropping in permission/medical forms to Shalom. “First in best dressed”!
Could you please let any AFL students at your school know these details.

BDSSS Cricket is cancelled TODAY
Hello All
Cricket games are CANCELLED this afternoon. I have been out to Kendalls this morning and the rain we had earlier in the week has resulted in the pitches being very damp and soft. The Club has their junior grand finals on this weekend and we cannot risk destroying the pitches today, so that they cannot be used on the weekend. This includes the two games that would be played on synthetic.
So all games are off TODAY.

ROWING INFO AND ZOOT SUITS INFO
Dear Rowing Parents
Our first Lead Up Regatta for Head of the River is now 4 weeks away. 30 March 2014. Crews have been training and our new rowing students have been working very hard with positive results. Fantastic effort from all. Thank you for your cooperation and parents, thank you for getting your children to training at the specified times.
In advance, I would like to ask for your valued assistance on the Lead - up regatta days and at the Head of the River, 25 May, as there are many behind the scenes roles which make our Rowing regattas happen. Further information will be sent soon regarding these job lists and roles which need to be filled, to make these days run smoothly and be OARSOME for all.
Last week, a letter was sent home with rowing students in relation to the ordering and purchase of the St Luke's Rowing Zootie. It is important that the students are wearing the correct uniform during their participation in any school sport at a competitive level.
The New design St Luke's Zootie was approved by Rowing Queensland in June 2013 and confirmed by Mr Martin Oates, and Mr Peter Robinson as being the Sport attire for Rowing Students to wear when representing St Luke's Anglican School at Rowing Regattas. Last year until December, was a 'phasing in period' of the new design Zootie.
As of 01 January, 2014, the New Design Zootie, (see below) is applicable for all rowing students.
Many Parents have already ordered the New Zootie and I thank you for your promptness and cooperation.
Kind Regards
Helen Phillips
SLAS Rowing Coordinator
