ROWING - Fundraising tickets and QLD championships

Hi all,

due to a lot of people having prior commitments this weekend with other sports, relay for life and travel, we will have to cancel the planned get together at Bucca this weekend.

Can I please ask all parents to speak to their children about rowing at the Queensland Championship Regatta to be held here at Bucca on the first weekend of the school holidays. I will call a meeting for all rowers next week to confirm numbers this regatta. I will then call a meeting just for those rowers, parents, supporters and coaches to get ourselves organised for the event.

Other notes, a meeting of relevant people will be necessary soon to discuss boat maintenance and equipment needs to keep our fleet to a high standard. If you would like to have a voice at this meeting, please let me know. A number of people are working very hard to raise funds for this and it is important that we spend the money as efficiently as possible.

With regard to fund raising, can I remind people to please bring their raffle ticket sales into the front office by this Friday so we can gauge how the raffle is going and plan our next steps. Thanks very much to all the people who have been working hard to sell their tickets. If all of us do our bit we can make this fund raiser very successful.

Once again thanks for your support.
