Primary Rugby League - Development Cup

Primary School Rugby League – Development Cup

On Monday night St Luke's Primary School Rugby League Team started their 2014 Development Cup campaign against Bargara State School. St Luke's had high expectations after finishing runner's up in last year's 11 years and under interschool competition and quickly showed that they were going to be too strong for their coastal rivals by scoring five unanswered tries in the first half. St Luke's continued their dominance in the second half to run out winners by 32 points to nil. All boys put in a great team effort with Harry Bull leading the charge from the front row. Halves Conor O'Dea and Reilly Cole showed great vision and control and Man of the Match recipient Luke Harriman worked hard all night in the second row. St Luke's now progress to the second round of the Development Cup which will played next week.
