Bundaberg Futsal Boys in Spain

Bundaberg Futsal Boys in Spain
St Luke's Students Sam Hirst and Keanu Tuart and Bundaberg Christian College Student Jai Coleman recently competed in Spain with the Australian Futsal Under 12 touring Team.
Last year the three boys who play in the Bundaberg Futsal team, were selected to play in the Wide Bay Futsal Competition.  The Boys were then chosen and played for the Country Queensland U12 Futsal Team who competed in Sydney in September 2013.  Their efforts were rewarded when they were selected for the Australian Futsal U12 touring Team to play against the Spanish U12 representative team.
Sam, Keanu and Jai were able to experience the different culture of the Spanish people.  The Team were also lucky to be able to watch two games at the national centre at 'Camp Nou' which seats up to 100,000 spectators, being able to watch the Barcelona Football Club on their home ground was a fantastic  experience.   They were also trained with the Division 1 Men's Spanish Coach which was a real honour.
The Australian Futsal U12 touring team coach awarded Sam Hirst as Best Player, Keanu Tuart as Co-Captain and Jai Coleman as Sustained Effort.
Their on field results were mixed, with some wins, losses and draws, but the experiences they received on tour will be something they remember forever.
