Sporting Colours Criteria
Half Colours
To achieve Half Colours at St Luke's in a school sport the student should demonstrate Wide Bay Regional School sport selection in a Wide Bay School sporting team.

For sports that are not in the Wide Bay School sport system but have State School Championships, students who participate in these State School Championships do not
automatically qualify for Half Colours. The student must achieve highly to be recognised for Half Colours due to the fact that no selection process has occurred at Bundaberg level and again at Wide Bay level and the student may have just nominated without selection to attend these State School Championships.

While achieving Wide Bay selection in Club sport is commendable, it is the Club sport
system and not the School sport system and should be recognised through the Club sport system. Achievement at Wide Bay Club sport level is not recognized at St Luke's with School sport Half Colours.

Half Colours may be granted for representing in a sanctioned School sport at a State or National School sport championship, as long as the selection process occurred through initially playing that sport for the School.
Full Colours
To achieve Full Colours at St Luke's the student should demonstrate a Queensland/State team level selection, or win a medal in an individual, relay ot team event at a State Championship level. It must be a Queensland School Sport (QSS) or a School sanctioned sport, or a School sport State Championship event and not a Club State Team or Club State Championship event.
Honours Colours
Honour Colours at St Luke's are awarded to students who achieve National team selection. It must be a sanctioned School Sport event and not a Club National Team or through the National team selection. In an individual event, a Medal (top 3 placing) at National Championships also meets the criteria for Honours Colours at St Luke's. The level of competition will also be taken into account, with the awarding of all levels of Colours.

Level of Competition
The level of competition will also be taken into account, with the awarding of all levels of Colours.

Every year we have questions regarding the sporting criteria. I hope the above information helps with any questions you might have.
