ROWING AFTER THE HOR SERIES AS A SLAS SCHOOL SPORT...From - Peter Robinson...Head of Sport at St Luke's

I just wanted to clear up any communication problems regarding Rowing post Head of the River.
Please send this to all your SLAS Rowing Lists.

To all.

BUNDABERG RADIOLOGY
Head of the River Regatta Series.
Thanks to all Coaches, Parents, Grandparents and students.
After the Head of the River finishes...we always have a lot of questions.
From now on
,
Fees go through the club
 and
not the school.
My coaches have made a commitment until the Head of the River and coaching after the HOR is totally their own choice and now through the club.
SLAS is happy to lend our boats following the Boat usage guidelines but parents and rowers will need to go through the club for all issues around communication and club regattas from now on.
My Rowing Coordinator and Coaches have a meeting on Wed afternoon where they can elect to continue as coaches or not.
We appreciate their time, but all communication from now on needs to be through your coach and not through the school.
I am thinking of a plan to employ a rowing coordinator next year, but budget restraints are holding up that process. A fee of $200 per rower may help facilitate a coordinator for the whole year.
As volunteers are hard to find.
Please look after the volunteers we have...so they continue to work for us.
any questions?
Please see details below.
Thanks
